Dans le cadre des Master Class proposées par le Master IEC, nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir le jeudi 13 novembre 2014 sur le site de Gennevilliers Jean-Michel Roche pour une conférence intitulée : « Techniques de communication interpersonnelle, tout ce qu’il faut maîtriser pour avoir de l’impact à l’oral ». Fondateur et dirigeant d’une société de conseil, de perfectionnement et d’accompagnement en techniques de communication nomméeVerbateam, il a coaché pas moins de 95 % des entreprises du CAC 40.
« Je ne veux pas rester derrière ces tables, pendant mon intervention. On ne s’adresse pas à son public derrière des barrières ». Dès les premiers mots de sa conférence, Jean-Michel Roche a posé les bases : en tant qu’expert de la communication orale, la forme de son intervention allait autant compter que le fond.
Comment procède-t-on alors pour bien communiquer à l’oral ? Le fondateur de Verbateam a ainsi attiré l’attention des étudiants sur quatre éléments clés de l’expression orale :
- Le regard qui permet de ferrer l’auditoire, favorise l’échange et donne un sentiment de proximité.
- La gestuelle qui est un véritable atout de la communication orale : elle permet d’appuyer ses propos, de rendre plus vivantes ses paroles et confère un certain naturel à l’orateur.
- Le silence, qui est bien souvent craint par les novices de la communication orale qui cherchent constamment à le combler alors qu’il fait respirer un discours.
- Le sourire, primordial : il humanise la présentation, le public est demandeur de sourires !
La conférence s’est achevée sur une série de questions posées par les étudiants à Jean-Michel Roche sur des situations concrètes auxquelles ils ont été confrontés. Si cette intervention n’a duré que deux heures, elle a pour beaucoup été perçue comme une réelle leçon de communication orale. Elle a d’ailleurs donné lieu à un livetweet sur le réseau social Twitter, avec le hashtag #MasterclassIEC, auquel les étudiants ont pris part.
