Comment accéder à l’université ?
Le site des Chênes, à Cergy-Préfecture est le cœur de la faculté de Cergy-Pontoise : administration centrale, vie associative, maison des étudiants… Les UFR de lettres, sciences humaines, droit, économie et gestion résident ici.
Les sciences et techniques et les différents IUT et licences professionnelles sont répartis entre le site de Saint-Martin à Pontoise, le site de Neuville-sur-Oise et celui de Cergy Saint-Christophe.
Tous les sites sont directement accessibles via le RER A et les bus intercommunaux. Il y a également plusieurs bornes VélO2, le Vélib de l’agglomération cergypontaine.
Pour plus d’information sur les transports alentours, rendez-vous sur le site de la ratp et de stivo.
Pour ceux qui décideront de venir en voiture, un badge vous sera remis sous conditions lors de vos inscriptions, moyennant une cotisation de 30 euros par an, afin de pouvoir accéder au parking privé de l’université.
Quelle vie associative ?
Le gros de la vie associative est basé au site des Chênes à Cergy-préfecture. Vous ne pourrez pas manquer la tour de la MDE (Maison des élèves) qui, depuis plus de 10 ans abrite les locaux associatifs de l’université. Haute de plus de six étages, il faut mieux éviter de venir les jours où l’ascenseur est en panne ! Vous y trouverez un hall où s’exercent diverses activités culturelles et où vous pourrez rencontrer d’autres étudiants, un cyberespace et tout ce qui concerne les mutuelles, la vie culturelle et associative. Le programme des activités culturelles est généralement affiché à l’entrée de la tour.
C’est également dans la Maison des étudiants que vous pourrez vous inscrire à la cotisation pour avoir le droit de pratiquer les activités sportives si vous ne l’avez pas fait lors de votre inscription administrative. De la boxe, à la danse et au fitness, vous n’aurez que l’embarras du choix !

Que faire en dehors de l’université ?
L’agglomération de Cergy-Pontoise propose à ses résidents de nombreux espaces verts qui permettent à tous de profiter du soleil lorsqu’il ne se cache pas. Le parc de la préfecture à 10 min à pieds du site des Chênes allie tranquillité et proximité.
Pour les amateurs(rices) de shopping, le centre commercial des 3 fontaines offre le nécessaire de boutiques, supermarché et lieux de restauration. Il attire à lui tout seul énormément de monde. Et, au sous-sol, il cache le bowling et ses salles de billard ouvert dès 15h.
Et, ce n’est pas parce que c’est la banlieue que la culture n’y est pas présente. Pour 5 euros lors de vos inscriptions administratives, le pass culture vous permettra d’aller au théâtre, à des concerts dans les salles du Forum et de l’Observatoire, entre autres, à prix réduit !
